Full instructions are included in
the pack. Susan's recommendations are:
First of all, please wash your new cloth pads separately before
use,
in the manner you are likely to regularly use. Not only will
this remove any unstable dyes (especially if you wash in warm
to hot water),
but also any manufacturing residues, giving optimum absorbency.
After use:
1.
Soak the pads for half a day
or overnight in a bucket of cool water or in a 2 litre jar
(see MoonBag above).
2.
After soaking, squeeze out excess
water from pads. This nutritious liquid can be fed to your
garden or potplants. They'll love it!
3. Treat any stains if desired with
a stain-removing soap and scrub gently
4. Put pads into your next washing
load (anything from a cold to hot cycle).
5.
Line or tumble dry.
A regular wash is usually sufficient
to sanitise, although they can also be dipped in a diluted
solution of tea tree oil, eucalyptus or any mild disinfectant.
The sun is also a natural sanitiser.
Some busy women prefer to wash their pads while in the shower,
without pre-soaking. Excess water can then be removed by putting
them in the spin dry cycle of the washing machine before hanging
out to dry . . . . . . . . . Susan
