Breath

My serpentine spine
Arched and stretched
My ecstatic body
Playing itself
in the dance of energy

I held myself
Between two worlds
Rolling and twisting
Writhing and crying
Trying to crawl out of my skin

Home to the place I lived once
My body so finely tuned to reach this place
And all this time I forgot to breathe
To dwell in the void
To know my body
To dance my body
To breathe my body
To be my body

Becoming the divine expression of woman
